Back Problems and Back Solutions
I’ve been having tremendous back problems due to bad posture. It was either going to a chiropractor (which I wanted to avoid) or buying a zero gravity chair. I decided to purchase a zero gravity chair to see if it would make any difference. Given my low income, I decided to purchase the Chaise Lounger from the Big 5 Sporting Goods Store.
Benefits of having a zero gravity chair
The benefits of owning a zero gravity chair are to help decompress the spine and maintain good posture. Because of gravity, the spine takes on a tremendous of stress and pressure from walking, running and sports activities.
A zero gravity chair also reduces stress on the heart because your feet are elevated.
A zero gravity chair also relieves muscle tension, open up lung capacity, and increase blood circulation throughout the body.
Where did Zero Gravity Chair originate?
The discovery of its benefits came from NASA. It is believed that astronauts, will recline with their feet elevated higher than their hearts during take-off. This reduces the amount of force and pressure on the spine.
Why the need to decompress the spine?
Spinal discs, or supple pads that are located between the vertebrae, act like a shock absorber for the spine. The discs keep the vertebrae from rubbing together. The spinal discs in a child are usually a fluid sac, but with age, the discs began to solidify given the stress and pressure on the spine.
Decompressing the spine takes away the stress and pressure of the spinal discs, and allows fluid to enter the discs, thereby offering relief.
